Arona is a borough in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 370 at the 2010 census.Arona is located at 40°16′11″N 79°39′38″W / 40.26972°N 79.66056°W / 40.26972; -79.66056.According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 0.5 square miles, all of it land.As of the census of 2010, there were 370 people, 153 households, and 108 families residing in the borough. The population density was 664.8 people per square mile. There were 165 housing units at an average density of 311.3 per square mile. The racial makeup of the borough was 100.0% White.There were 153 households out of which 25.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.2% were married couples living together, 10.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.4% were non-families. 24.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.
